Broadgreen Community Centre
Broadgreen Community Centre is situated between Broad Street and Manchester Road, on Salisbury Street. It caters for a wider range of activities and community events such as children’s parties, cultural and faith gatherings, fetes and craft fayres, wellbeing and health support, toddler and young people’s activities, dance and performance arts, training, seminars and conferences. The centre has its own large car park adjacent to the main entrance. There is additional parking at Swindon Town Football Ground a 5-10 minutes level walk from the community centre charged at 20p for up to 2 hours; £2 for 2-6 hours £4 for 6 - 24 hours (non match days).
The community centre has four lettable rooms. The Main Hall, Lounge, Youth Room and Activity Room all of which have their own refreshment making facilities. The Main Hall has the sole use of the large commercial style kitchen.
The centre welcomes activities from all of the diverse local community and wider Swindon population. It is a short walk from the town centre, as well as the main bus and train stations.
The centre is run by South Swindon Parish Council which is also based at the community centre. The Parish Council fund the Street Food Festival held on the streets adjacent to the community centre in June. Free entry.
